Onde-onde Vs. Ole-ole

Yesterday my in-laws came to our house as my sister in-law would like to pass the souvenirs she got us from Bali. Being a good daughter in-law/sister in-law, I served them some cekodok and keropok kering to go with tea. By the way, my mother in-law gave me A++ score for my cekodok 😛 (blow nails).

Once she reached home, sister in-law tweeted both me and hubs thanking us for the hospitality. As a good brother, CheeseBoy of course replied the tweet and also thanking his sister for the souvenir. However, there was a slight problem where he actually referred Ole-Ole as  Onde-Onde. #facepalm

Hahaha…Ole-Ole means souvenir in malay, but Onde-onde is a name of Malay kuih and he got them confused. So cute!

Dear CheeseBoy, please don’t conquer the TV next time. It has been National Geographic since morning. I just missed the first race of F1 season and now I feel like having onde-onde 😛
