It’s Tuesday and I am still feeling sluggish. No thanks to recent 4 days weekend! Hehehe… the long break has certainly made me a lazy person. But it was a much needed break, spent quality time with CheeseBoy and totally loving it!
Anyway, today I would like to share another recipe and I think this is the first time I’m sharing recipe that doesn’t consist of Belacan nor Cili Padi (Bird’s Eye Chilli). I have gone through several guacamole recipes and I find this recipe most convincing one (it taste good too :P) and I think I’m going to stick to it.
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
3 avocados – peeled, pitted and mashed
1 lime, juiced
1 teaspoon salt (1/2 teaspoon is also okay)
1/2 cup diced onion
3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
2 roma (plum) tomatoes, diced
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (This is optional but I actually used lots of them :D)
Directions:
In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice and salt. Mix in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic. Stir in cayenne pepper. Refrigerate 1 hour for the best flavour, or serve immediately.
Prep time: 10 mins, Cooking Time: 10 mins
You can serve it as dip for your nachos or chips.
I also used the leftover guacamole for my beef wrap (with melted cheese of course!). Oh, I also added on jalapeño to make it spicier 😀
Happy trying peeps!
