Pencarian Agen 3R

Hi guys! Remember that TV show ‘3R‘? Yep, that award winning show we all watched when we were, ahem, younger? Who could forget those smart and assertive girls, Rafidah, Azah, and Yuen? They talked about issues that were considered sensitive, such as violence against women, health issues, HIV/AIDS, teenage pregnancy, sexuality, and many other topics. The show spawned a generation of informed, confident young ladies, and it’s still going strong today.

3R’s latest incarnation is on the web, and they are looking for YOU!

The search is on for 3R Agents (AGEN 3R)! If you’re between 18 to 27 years of age, you’re invited to upload your video content about any topic related to lifestyle, safety, identity, relationships and social issues impacting Malaysia/the world. According to uber-producer Lina Tan, “We are looking for up to twenty five (25) 3R Agents. Upon selection they will be given an all expense paid training by our producers, ex 3R hosts and media specialists. This 3R Agent training workshop is to enhance their knowledge in social issues and to hone their skills in storytelling, journalism, hosting and video production.” Lina adds, “After the workshop, these 3R Agents will be given a mission – to produce, direct and host their own videos based on topics selected by 3R over a period of 3 months. If these videos made by the 3R Agents get approved, the 3R Agents will be paid and it will be aired on FEEFO.TV, a new online channel.”

Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir also said, “The Internet has enabled our youth to be more vocal and we want them to speak up about social issues that matter to them via short videos that can empower other youths. We want to find a group of young people who are interested to be trained to produce these videos and we call them our 3R Agents.”

(Maximum of 3 people in a group, and may comprise of young men as well!) Your mission, if you choose to accept it, must be submitted by 11.59pm, 15 January 2016.

Too bad we’re over the age limit, or both of us would submit countless videos to get into this programme. 😉
